Dawn Williams

Dawn Williams is an Associate Editor of MyHomeIdeas.com, the extensive home and garden portal from Southern Progress Corporation Digital. SPC Digital is the digital division of Southern Progress Corporation, which is Time Inc.’s lifestyle subsidiary based in Birmingham, Alabama.

MyHomeIdeas.com launched in March 2008 and features original content, plus material from such nationally recognized magazines as Cottage Living, Coastal Living, Southern Living, Southern Accents and Sunset as well as Oxmoor House books.

Williams manages the Gardening and How-To channels on the site and records her adventures of being a newlywed and homeowner in her blog, “So…I Married the Contractor.”

She began her career at Southern Progress Corporation as an intern and editorial assistant at Oxmoor House, then moved on to be a copy editor at SPConnect, and has been associate editor of HomeIdeas.com since its launch.

Williams graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Corporate Journalism. She resides in Birmingham, Alabama with her husband and two dogs.

 


 

Holley Johnson

Holley Johnson, M.S., R.D is the Food Editor of MyRecipes.com, the new food and recipe site from SPC Digital. SPC Digital is the digital division of Southern Progress Corporation, which is Time Inc.’s home and lifestyle subsidiary based in Birmingham, Alabama.

Launched in May 2007, MyRecipes.com is home to more than 30,000 professionally, kitchen-tested recipes and is the one-stop source for finding recipes, step-by-step instructions, how-to videos, healthy cuisine, and entertaining tips. The wealth of recipes are drawn mainly from the Southern Progress titles such as Southern Living, Cooking Light and Sunset among others.

As food editor, Johnson is responsible for the site’s Healthy Diet channel as well as other feature stories. She is also a host of the “Dinner Tonight” daily video series featuring quick meals that can be prepared in 45 minutes or less. Johnson is also the face of MyRecipes.com having appeared nationally on the Today Show and on local television in markets including New York, Philadelphia, Dallas, and Boston.

Prior to her role at MyRecipes.com, Johnson was Associate Food Editor of Southern Living magazine where she wrote the Healthy Food column, the Healthy Living special section, and other feature stories.

Johnson began her career at Southern Progress Corporation’s Oxmoor House as an Assistant Food Editor editing cookbooks such as The Best of Cooking Light, Weight Watcher’s Annual Recipes for Success 2003, 2004 and 2005, and Weight Watcher’s Shortcut Cookbook.

She has a Bachelor of Science in Food and Nutrition as well as a Master of Science in Human Nutrition, both from The University of Alabama.  She is a Registered Dietitian, having completed her dietetic internship at the Medical University of South Carolina.

Johnson currently resides in Birmingham, Alabama.


Kim Turnbull

Kimberly Turnbull is an Associate Editor of MyHomeIdeas.com, the extensive home and garden portal from Southern Progress Corporation Digital. SPC Digital is the digital division of Southern Progress Corporation, which is Time Inc.’s lifestyle subsidiary based in Birmingham, Alabama.

As Associate Editor, Turnbull is responsible for writing and contributing home decorating stories and managing the site’s Green Living and Idea House channels. She also writes a daily blog for the site, which chronicles her adventures, or misadventures, in the land of domesticity:“Domestic Bliss & the Art of Faking It.” http://domesticbliss.myhomeideas.com/
 
Prior to this role at MyHomeIdeas.com, Turnbull worked in Atlanta in Advertising as both a copywriter and project manager. She began her career with Southern Progress as an editorial intern for Coastal Living magazine. She has Bachelor of Science in Creative Writing from Florida State University and a Master of English from The Citadel and College of Charleston.
