Directions In a large bowl combine softened cream cheese, egg yolk and shredded cheddar. Add the two packages of potatoes and mix until combined thoroughly. Heat mixture in microwave for 4-5 minutes. Preheat a large skillet over medium heat with olive oil, add chopped carrots and cook for about 2 minutes stirring frequently. Add onions and saute for an additional 2 minutes. Add ground beef. and season mixture with salt and pepper. Crumble beef and cook until browned. In a second small skillet over medium heat cook butter and flour together 2 minutes. Whisk in broth and Worcestershire sauce. Thicken gravy 1 minute. Add gravy to meat and vegetables. Stir in peas. Preheat broiler to high. Fill a small casserole with meat and vegetable mixture. Spoon potatoes over meat evenly. Top potatoes with paprika and broil 6 to 8 inches from the heat until potatoes are evenly browned.. |
