Sweet Bones Alabama

Sunday Brunch Beignets

 

Ingredients

1 package dry yeast

½ cup warm water 105o-110o

Wet

½ c evaporated milk

1 egg, beaten

1 teaspoon Vanilla extract

2 Tablespoons melted butter

Dry

3 cups all purpose flour

1 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons white sugar

Flour for Bench

380o-390oOil for frying

"Bloom" yeast in warm water and let sit 30 seconds to activate. Mix all wet ingredients together in large bowl and all dry ingredients together in smaller bowl. Slowly add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and mix well.

Roll out dough on bench (Counter or board) to about 1/8" thick. Fry in hot oil 2-3 minutes or until golden brown on both sides. Drain and heavily dust in powdered sugar.
